Bright Futures Scholarship Tiers

The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program rewards Florida high school graduates for high academic achievement. Here are the core SAT requirements for the two main tiers.

Florida Academic Scholars (FAS)

100% Tuition & Applicable Fees

FAS

The highest tier award covering 100% of your tuition at Florida public institutions.

2024-2025 Grads: 1340

2025-2026 & Beyond: 1330

Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS)

75% Tuition & Applicable Fees

FMS

The second tier award covering 75% of your tuition at Florida public institutions.

REQUIRED SAT SCORES

2024-2025 Grads: 1210

2025-2026 & Beyond: 1190

Deadlines & Superscoring

SAT Score Deadline

August 31st of Graduation Year

All required test scores must be earned by this date.

FFAA Application

August 31st of Graduation Year

The Florida Financial Aid Application must be submitted by this date.

Superscoring Policy

Bright Futures accepts SAT superscores. The program combines the highest Evidence-Based Reading & Writing score and the highest Math score across multiple test administrations to calculate the maximum composite score. SAT scores cannot be combined with ACT or CLT scores.

Along with your SAT scores, you must meet the following criteria:
